More Hours in a Day…or not??
Oftentimes I wish that there were more hours in a day, it seems that with the ever increasing list of things I need to do, I sometimes wish that I could start my day at 5, and work till…….. well work till I just couldn’t think anymore.
……………………………
Today 7:00 am, Carina is up, it’s rest day for everyone and I’ve told John I’d let him sleep in, so that leaves me with the 6 kids, oh add one since we had a sleepover. It seems to me that no matter what I do or say I can’t keep them quiet.
9:00 am: Breakfast and Word time, nope, can’t keep them quiet for that either, so I’ve decided to take them to the beach, hopefully this will tire them out, no such luck, after 3 hours boogyboarding, surfing, running and throwing mud balls, we come home, I’m exhausted and ready to sleep for the rest of the day, but….sure enough the kids are still full of energy, so John say’s ” I’ll take them out and play basketball, I think “yes, this will do the trick”, but 2 hours later later, the second they step foot into the house, I hear them, doesn’t sound like we wiped ‘em out yet. So, in my last attempt, I take them to an outdoor McDonald’s, where they end up taking over the play land, and making all the children play tag.
k, now 7:30 PM rolls around, I’ve done my best, I bring them home, read a bit, and send them off to bed.
9:30 PM, I still hear talking in the room. It’s impossible!
Then……..10:00 PM, I hear nothing. Could it be? Not a sound….. well just the sweet sound of children sleeping.
AAhh!! I’ll tell you I’ve changed my mind in their not being more hours in a day, I think the Lord has made our days just right and he knew how much we could endure. All I can say is I’m so thankful that there are NO more hours in our days.
10:00 PM ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10:15 Wait, I think I hear something, no……….

Abi, You are proof of the pudding! I don’t know where you get all ur energy from, but it’s definitely not natural! If only I had an ounce of ur energy, I’d be happy. I hope u like ur new disk. Tell me if it works well. Gota go, Have a wonderful day! GBY! Love, Mike
Abi, you are an amazing mom. I am happy I am having another girl. They seem alittle less intense
awww, poor MILF! Don’t work too hard … you and Nina are total Super moms!! Love you guys and miss you!!!!!
Girls … less intense!! It might be the fact that my only girl is a Taurus, but she’s definelty my most INTENSE CHILD. I’m SOOOOO glad I had another boy!!
— Tho’.. Congrats on the new baby girl Paula. I think it’s better having 2 girls together first off.. than one girl in the midst of boys.
Between my 2 boys and Nina’s 2 boys, things do get pretty wild and loud here. And yes, we have a Taurus girl, she’s the oldest and definitely one of the more intense ones. When I was younger I wanted 8 boys (my dream family), but after two I am thankful for a little girl. So far she’s pretty good, of course she can’t talk yet. But, hey I’m sure the Lord knew just what to give me and I’m thankful for each one.
Mike thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for sending that over. Sure appreciate it!
since I have a taurus girl too, I must comment.
I was worried about having a girl in thinking she might turn out to be just like me… as it turns out…SHE IS EXACTLY LIKE ME and I am reliving my childhood all over again. talk about what goes aroung comes around… (Ijust keep saying “sorry mommy & daddy, sorry”!)karma at its best. heh.
the good thing is since she is just like me I understand her perfectly, know where she is coming from, and can anticipate and predict just about everything and everyway she’s gonna react. and again, since she is so like me, that means her daddy loves her to pieces. she can do no wrong by that man, i, uh, promise. she has redefined the term “daddy’s girl” –the whole next level.
my boys on the other hand, why they must be MEN, they must not cry, they must be strong and manly, responsible, mature, well-mannered, quite, respectful and respectable. at ages 5 and 1 it’s only to be expected
still. life as a mom is life at it’s best.
