Richard’s Birthday
Richard turned 6 years old today! He woke up expecting to be served on by everyone in the house, so we did our best to try to make it “the perfect birthday”. We took him out to Chucky Cheese, where his sweet older brother gave him his toy he won, then went to Petco where I told them we’d go in only if we didn’t buy anything, but ended up getting a Hermit Crab (what can I say they were on sale, plus they’re cute), then drove to Tom’s Burgers (only if you are a Tom’s burger fan will you know what I’m talking about), went to Toys ‘R’ Us and got some more legos to add to the big castle set that all four boys have (they actually have a big town named Morisia), after that we had the cake and watched a movie. All throughout the day Richard was telling us what good parents we are and saying things like “don’t ever change Mom”, “you’re the best Dad”, needless to say it touched our hearts and he definitely won with his parent psychology today.
Anyway, I can’t believe Richard is 6, I’ve always wanted my kids to be 6 and 7, but now I just don’t want them to grow anymore. Richard said he’ll stop when he’s 60. Time does seem to go faster when you have kids, I pray that I’ll make every moment count.
