Captured memories part two

Getting to know each other

Abi:
So after the first kiss things quieted down a bit between us for a while seeing as John was such a good boy being that I was 15 and all he had to wait till I turned 16. That didn’t stop him from flirting though. Such a cute flirt!

John:
If I hadn’t gotten a percentage of the funds that I made on outreach I don’t know what I would have done as Abi was rather high maintenance. I think that was the first time that I thought about selling my body to cover the start up cost of our relationship. Thankfully no one would have me so I didn’t have to. So yet again we see Romans 8:28 at work.

Abi:
Well, that’s not what I remember John! You see John was rather in demand especially from this one girl, but we won’t get into that. Yes, he did faithfully bring me the things I wanted or should I say needed. I had needs, expensive needs, like those socks every now and then.

John:
To clear the record this girl was just a friend. I am sure that there are some guys out there that can relate to what I am saying.
Enough with the rebuttal now on with the story:
I used to bring home this fizzy water that Abi used to love from Wal-Mart it was like 69 cents for a bottle of this stuff and it came in different flavors. So I must have gotten one a day for several months till she was so full of Aspartame and artificial sweeteners that she started to talk funny so we had to stop getting that for her. Lucky for me though, it so happened that I had a really bad month on outreach, so I couldn’t afford it anyway.

Abi:
I remember this one time I was upset at him for something he had done (can’t remember what it was) and he went out and bought me a ring, and I remember thinking “what does this guy think he can do, buy me”, I have to admit it was sweet.

John:
Well what can I say, it worked. Now anytime that Abi is mad at me I found that I can bring that wonderful smile back to her face by handing her my Credit card and the car keys. Actually that doesn’t really work that well as then I am the one that is left with the scowl and so we stopped that a long time ago as it just wasn’t bearing the right kind of fruit.

Abi:
I can’t have him write anymore…..o.k. so to clear things up that’s not the way it works. We pray and sort out our problems in a mature and grown-up way.

John:
Amen to that. We are learning to do that more and more as our relationship deepens.
Then she turned 16……….
