I know Mike and Nina have already blogged about this, but yesterday we found a snake in our yard!

Casey and Sammy have been dreaming of having a snake farm where they can breed snakes, and about 6 months ago, being the sucker mom that I am, went out to look for how much a snake and everything that goes into it’s care would cost, I decided it would be a little too much, mainly the fact being of having to feed it live mice.
So yesterday when a California Kingsnake just happened to be slithering in our yard it was hard for me to say yes to keeping it, but the kids wheeled and dealed until they had me convinced again of the need for a snake, and on the plus side I was told I could freeze the mice and only have to warm them when it was time for feeding, yay!

They had someone help them find a nice tank online for $30 and are thrilled to have their “dream” come true.
