Vacation in Arizona
The deal was that I would put the pictures up and John would write about our vacation since he’s the better writer of us two, but I guess plans changed.
We’ve already have been back for about a week and I’m just trying to catch up with the millions of things that have piled up since I’ve been away.
Vacation was fun and relaxing the first day we drove to Sedona (a beautiful city) only to find out that we had gotten the wrong hotel in the wrong city! It was about a 4 hour mistake, but there’s always a Rom.8:28 and ours was that John and Mike met a sweet man who wanted to buy our products, therefore paying for some of our gas. PTL! We finally pulled into the “right” place at 11 and crashed for the night at our beautiful hotel (thanks Joe) in Tusayan.
Day 2 was a more relaxing day, we stayed by the pool, tanned, swam etc. Later on in the day we went to IMAX and experienced the Grand Canyon (which was awesome), and the guys treated us out to Pizza dinner. We headed back to the pool and had some ice-cream. After the kids went down we watched X-men 3, which I liked, except for the part that the “bad” girl dies instead of being injected with the stuff that takes away her powers. If you know the reason, please tell me, as I’m still a little stumped with that one. The only reason I could think of was that she already killed so many people so would have not been able to live with herself?
Day 3: Was the great expedition to the Grand Canyon, we saw it!
We took another 4 hour drive and arrived in Payson at a log cabin up in the mountains, where we stayed for the next 4 days. John’s family was visiting from China, so spent some time with them. The boys did a few things that got my heart rate up and made me realize how much fun it is going to be to have older boys!
All in all it was a great time, I’ve posted about 100 pictures.
