I have been trying to get my children’s school finished before the next school year rolls around which is in September. I usually shoot for 180 days a school year, and I have 6 to go. My days have been consisting of school and more school. Which is one of the reasons I never write anything up anymore. Richard will have completed second grade, so I am going to be teaching 3rd and 4th grade in a month or so. The kids just received their CAT results in the mail, which I was very impressed with. Sammy is working on his first report, it was supposed to be on George Washington Carver, but to make the first one a little more exciting,(so he’ll look forward to them) he wrote on Luke Skywalker.
One cool thing which I haven’t blogged about yet, and it’s already a week old, is that Richard turned 7! He wanted to have Chad (his best friend) spend the weekend, and like his older brother wanted to have a big waterfight. Sammy, Derek, and Chad baked him a birthday cake (chocolate and peanut butter) his two favorite foods. He celebrated his real birthday which is on the 18th at summer camp, then had a birthday weekend when we came home.
