Adversity
“Adversity is a severe instructor, set over us by one who knows us better than we do ourselves, as He loves us better too. He that wrestles with us strengthens our nerves and sharpens our skill. Our antagonist is our helper. This conflict with difficulty … will not suffer us to be superficial.”—Edmund Burke (1729-1797), British statesman
I like this quote a lot, on the other hand it is one thing to like the quote, it is another thing to like/grow to appreciate the adversity. This is somewhat harder to learn. But most of us have to learn it whether we like to or not……. that was my brain fart for the week.
