We had a fairly busy day today with a lot going on. This is normal, but what made this one different was the extras that are not an every day occurrence. Here’s what happened.
We got a new little one in the home. Steve and Linda bore a man child.
Mike and Nina celebrated their 10th Anniversary.
Abi and I have been together for 10 Valentines Days.
It was Valentines Day.
The home had Payer Day
I spent four hours of the Day in Meetings.
And last but definitely not least. I am going to be a father again, Abi’s Pregnant!

Fire official: Man’s cell phone apparently sets him ablaze
VALLEJO, California (AP) — A cell phone apparently ignited in a man’s pocket and started a fire that burned his hotel room and caused severe burns over half his body, fire department officials said.
Luis Picaso, 59, was in stable condition Monday with second- and third-degree burns to his upper body, back, right arm and right leg, Vallejo Fire Department assistant chief Kurt Henke said.
Firefighters arrived at the residential hotel Saturday night to find Picaso lying on the bathroom floor after a malfunctioning cell phone in his pants pocket set fire to his nylon and polyester clothes, Henke said.
The flames spread to a plastic chair, setting off a sprinkler that held the fire in check, he said.
Authorities declined to name the phone’s manufacturer and model.
The fire and water caused $75,000 (euro57,955) damage to the room and a business on the ground floor, Henke said.

Yep, we celebrated Carina’s second birthday this Tuesday. And a celebration it was. She is growing so fast it is just amazing the things that she learns in a day. Coming back from a trip or even going to the office for a day I can see a difference in her mental capacity. I wish I could be like that. Oh well the things you have to give up with aging.

Every year we try and spread some Christmas cheer to folks less fortunate than us. Last year the kids had a singing group with choreography, this year we opted to have a choir instead.
The kids sang yesterday at Brother Benno’s homeless shelter, and we also have a few other old folks homes’ and a possible hospital we will sing at. I will post pictures at a later date.

I jogged 7.3 miles, 9.45 minutes per mile, and according to statistics burned 800 calories. Of course I couldn’t walk properly for the rest of the day, but knowing these facts made it worth it!

From Sammy: We had a family science day today, it was really fun! We studied about skeletons, we got to make a rabbit out of bones. Richard called it the Loch Ness monster, it was really terrific!

A hit of my Italian birthright came out last Saturday when we got the idea to go to a winery. There are a lot of nice ones here in Temecula. The day started out with perfect weather sun and all. We headed out, did a little shopping for some of the finer things in life,(Italian sausage, various assortments of cheese, strawberries, French bread, crackers, and of course chocolates), tossed it all in a wooden basket and whala we had a nice little picnic in the making. All we were missing was the wine and we had a good idea were that was coming from.
We did a little drive about for the perfect grounds to spread a blanket and begin feasting, but when we didn’t we settled for a picnic table. We got a couple bottles of local wine and by the time we were ready to enjoy, a northern gail had blown in, along with the accompanying cloud cover made for some very cold SoCalers. We somehow still managed to scarf down every thing we brought. I am still not sure if that was because we were trying to keep warm or because it was good. But I am going to go with the latter. Good times!

We went out to a winery for the first time yesterday. I was hoping John would blog about it, as I can’t think of what to write, so I’ll put a few pictures up instead.
